Condolence from Jane Moody on September 14th, 2011 6:53 am

I remember Doris when she used to play the organ each week at the Palgrave United Church. She was alway a pleasant lady with
a nice smile. Doris always had a kind word for everyone. She played the organ during our Wedding Ceremony, almost 15 years ago. I am sorry for your loss at this difficult time.

Jane Moody (nee Bruno)

Condolence from Homecraft Division, Bolton Fall Fair on September 14th, 2011 7:56 pm

We remember Doris as an exhibitor and a homecraft judge at fairs; sharing her extensive knowledge of antiques with us, and also teaching about antiques at an O.A.A.S. District Five Homecraft seminar.
Doris enjoyed showing her delightful doll collection. Deepest condolences to the family from the Homecraft Division of Bolton Fall Fair.

Condolence from Schomberg Agricultural Society on September 21st, 2011 2:30 pm

I don’t know what we will do without Doris. Every January she phoned to ask if the Fair Book was ready and could she have at least 60 entry tags. Apart from being a prolific entrant she was also our Antique Judge many, many times and in 2010 she became for the first time, our Homecraft Champion. She was so proud, as we were thrilled for her. What a wonderful lady.

Condolence from Mike, Janis, Amanda and Stephen Boykach on September 27th, 2011 2:17 pm

Dear Cheryl and family: my family feels so blessed to have shared in Doris’ life, she was a wonderful lady, friend, and my children even felt she was their 2nd grandmother (my mother was deceased before they were born). My children enjoyed her company while I was cutting her grass, we enjoyed her lunches with her real china tea cups, her baking, and sandwiches and her wonderful stories.
Around our Easter and Thanksgiving dinner table she was most welcome and enjoyed for many years. (not to mentions her raspberry pies) She fit right into our family as one of us. Our hearts were saddend when she passed away, but we’re thankful that we shared the last two weeks with her.
I’m sure she has a real special place up in the heavens because she certainly was an angel here on earth.
Our sincere condolences.
