Condolence from Murray and Muriel Burnett on November 12th, 2016 10:16 am

Jim, Maureen and family,
I regret that we cannot be there in person to offer our condolences.

We know the Sunderland/Lindsay area well. In fact our Dawn was born at Ross Memorial, when Murray worked at the bank in Lindsay.

We loved seeing your father come to Belwood church with you, and watch proudly as you sang in the choir Jim. These loving memories, are what get us threw these times.

Dear Mary, Dave and family:
How sad your Dad passed away the day before Remembrance Day. I always remember you telling me that although he was a veteran, Ford Motor Co. would not give him Nov. 11th off to march or attend the Remembrance Day service on Nov. 11th. I always thought that was so sad. Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss!

Condolence from Helen Pickett Tedford on November 13th, 2016 12:46 pm

Our sincere condolences on the loss of Don. We lived next door to the Farquharson’s on Martha Crescent. There were many laughs shared over the fence and in fact the first time Theresa and I rode on a streetcar was with Vi, Debbie and Mary Jane on an outing to Toronto to Palmerston Avenue. Don always had a big smile on his face and was always happy to see you. Let your memories of him surround you at this difficult time. He will be missed!

Condolence from Julia Dearing-Vollett, Peter, Adam and Nicole on November 15th, 2016 10:39 am

Remembering Uncle Don as a kind soul with a jovial laugh, and pride in his family. I will also remember his thoughtful toasts at various family events with his voice that filled the room. Alison and I enjoyed visiting Aunt Vi and Uncle Don in Bolton – particularly when Uncle Don invited us to swim. I am sorry to hear of his passing one day before Remembrance Day. I will never forget the stories about his service to keep peace for our Country. Indeed, he was on my mind as I participated in the Remembrance Day observances at Nicole’s school, before I heard from Mom (Queenie) that he had passed. I will always keep Aunt Vi and Uncle Don in my heart. Sending you all my love.
Julia

Condolence from John and Debbie Adams on November 15th, 2016 11:23 am

John and I would like to offer our deepest sympathy. Uncle Don had a strong patriotism and was an inspiration to us. You will have wonderful memories that will sustain you at this time, and bring you comfort in the days to come.

I think Uncle Don felt it was time to reunite with Aunt Vi and spend this Remembrance Day with fellow veterans that had gone on before.

We are so sorry that we could not be with you today. John had to go to the hospital at 3:30 this morning and was back for an ultra sound and tests at 8:00 this morning. He is still there as I write this.

Our love to all.

Condolence from Jennifer Law on November 15th, 2016 2:23 pm

Jim and Mary,

You may or may not remember me – Jennifer Smith from King St W. You taught me how to swim at Dicks Dam Jim and I booked a trip for you Mary when I worked in the travel agency in Bolton.

I am so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. Although I did not know your dad I certainly remember you both and your mom when she worked at the IGA and what a wonderful family the Farquharson’s are. I hope the love and memories that you have will take you through this sad time.

Jennifer Law (nee Smith)
