Condolence from Gord and Lori Windell on February 5th, 2017 7:42 pm

Neil, Robert & Matthew. You were the centre of Debbie’s heart. She loved you more than anything. She was the best sister any brother could ever ask for, and I will always cherish my childhood and all of my memories with her. She soldiered through many tough months better than any of us could ever imagine doing, always with a smile and continuing on as if nothing was wrong (to make us feel better I’m sure). We will all miss her laughter and quick wit sense of humour. She always knew what she wanted and how things should be even to her last moment in life. That’s just the kind of person she was. Lori and I were happy that we were able to be with her and you in her final moments, just as she had wanted. I know she will always follow us through life. Our sympathies to you Neil, Robert & Matthew for your loss of a great wife and a truly wonderful mother, my sister, cherished sister-in-law and Aunt. Gord, Lori, Brad, Natalie and her favourite niece pup, Lola.

Condolence from Deborah Judge on February 6th, 2017 6:39 pm

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Debbie’s passing. She had been on my mind recently and I was planning to write to her. I hope the words of this song will bring you some comfort:

Those hearts that we have treasured,
those lives that we have shared,
those loves that walked beside us,
those friends for whom we’ve cared,
their blessing rests upon us,
their life is memory,
their suffering is over,
their spirits are set free.

They still give hope and comfort,
they did not lose the fight,
they showed us truth and goodness,
they shine into our night.
Remember days of gladness;
remember times of joy;
remember all the moments
that grief cannot destroy.

From hearts that we have treasured,
from lives that we have shared,
from loves that walked beside us,
from friends for whom we’ve cared,
we’ve learned to treasure kindness,
we’ve learned that grace provides,
we’ve learned to be together,
we’ve learned that love abides.

Words: Sylvia Dunstan, 1991

With Sympathy,
Deborah Judge & Family

Condolence from Lisa and David Irwin on February 9th, 2017 1:05 pm

Dear Neil, Robert and Matthew,

Debbie was the kindest soul I have ever met. I felt like I knew her for 100 years – not just a few. She was and old soul. She somehow knew how to lift you up without you ever knowing how. I spoke to her just a few days ago and like always she asked about me and my family, she never wanted to burden anyone and never asked for anything. I have truly NEVER met a more selfless and caring individual. I cannot imagine the loss you feel and yet envy you for the love of your wife and mother. She was a wonderful person and true friend. As a friend, she showed me such tenderness and compassion – to have lived with that you in your daily lives, you were and are truly blessed and may that carry you for the rest of your lives. She loved you as only a mother and wife could do – with ALL of her heart. You were her first loves. You made her happy and very proud. Love Lisa
