We have been neighbours with Dea and Ugo for almost 30 years and are so sad to hear of her passing. We will remember Dea fondly, always tending her garden with so much life. Even as the years passed, we were always amazed by her energy. Her kind smile and heart will be sorely missed on Albion Hills Drive. Rest in peace sweet lady. Love, Danielle (Plastina) Hassberger and Family. ❤
Dear Anne
We were very sorry to hear about your mum’s passing and extend our condolences to all of your family.
Dear Ugo, AnnaMaria, Claudio and family,
Our family is so very sad to hear of Dea’s passing. As close neighbours for over 32 years, we have shared in many memories. Dea was always proud to keep us abreast of the accomplishments and milestones of her children and grandchildren. She lived for her family gatherings and having a full house. Dea’s passion for keeping her gardens and yard ‘perfect’ were legendary. She and Ugo enjoyed their home to the fullest and loved to share their yearly harvest of tomatoes and cucumbers.
We moved into our home with two babies 4 and 2 years. Dea took an interest in every aspect of their development and most recently delighted in their marriages and the birth of their first babies. Dea was a valued friend and a wonderful example to all. Our deepest condolences to the family.
Much love,
Jim, Pam, Melissa and Alexandra McGugan
Dear Claudio: I am saddened to read about the passing of your mother. I am certain that fond and cherished memories will help you with the grief you must feel. My condolences. Charlene

Dear Ugo, Anne, Claudio and family;
So very saddened to hear of Dea’s passing. We first met Dea and Ugo 43 years ago when we were building our home beside theirs in Palgrave. They were not only the best neighbours anyone could ever ask for, but also such good friends over the years. They were always willing to lend a helping hand, give good advise and shared many happy moments together. The world would be a truly perfect one if everyone were as friendly and kind as sweet Dea was. She will remain in our hearts forever. Rest in peace dear friend. Our deepest sympathy & Love – Linda, Darrell, Tamara, Darrin and Mindy Schneider
Anna Maria – sorry to hear of the passing of your dear Mom.
Dearest Aisha and family: No one can prepare you for a loss, it comes like a swift wind even if we think we are prepared. However, take comfort in knowing that Nonna is now resting in peace. Remember, Nonna never truly leaves, for she is still alive in our hearts and wonderful memories. My deepest condolences and hugs to you Aisha and your family.
Dea was one of the most sweet human beings my wife and I have ever known. Her smile and open arms won every’s heart. The Cordenons Christmas dance will never be the same to us. A shocker to see the obituary in the Star this morning! Our sincere apologies for not being able to attend the funreral services tomorrow but Dea will always be in our hearts. With great sympathy and fondness, Renato and Carmelita Scian and sons.
Dea was my loving neighbour. She showed my family so much kindness and love over the last 20+ years. I will miss her warm smile, waves and wonderful vegetables from her garden. My condolences to husband Ugo and her family.
Please accept our deepest condolences on Dea’s (Nonna’s) passing.
It’s never easy losing a loved one but please find comfort in the memories that will forever live in your hearts.
Cori, my thoughts are with you and your family.
AnnaMaria & Claudio
I would like to offer my Deepest Sympathy. I noticed the Obit in the paper & it brought back a lot of old memories from Lilac Ave.
I met your parents 15-20 years ago in the Variety Store in Palgrave.

Ugo, AnnaMaria Family & Friends. Its sad to lose someone in death. What helped me the most was prayers and faith in God’s promise at Psalm 34:18 “God is close to the broken heart: he saves those who are crushed in spirit.” For more free comforting scriptures, please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. God’s Kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for will bring about these wonderful promises. My prayers are with you at this difficult time.
