Dave passed away peacefully on October 29, 2009, with his family by his side, in his 84^th year.  He will be greatly missed by his wife Norma (nee Wilson).  Much loved father of his four children Susan (Ian), Brian (Arlene), Donna (Tim) and Julie (Graham).  Lovingly remembered by his ten grandchildren Lacey (Morgan), Ashley, Brandon, Tylee (deceased), Kady, Brianna, Kyle, Dylan, Mac and Shay.  He will be sadly missed by his sister Madeleine and her husband Lorne Varcoe.  He was predeceased by his sisters Mickey Lacey, Peg Wilson and Nell Eggleton.  Dave served many happy years as a City Councillor in Etobicoke, Commissioner of the Toronto Transit Commission and later as a Controller on the Metropolitan Toronto Council.  Dave’s kind and generous nature, impeccable integrity and sense of humour were admired by all who knew him.  Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held on November 7^th.  Condolences and memories may be forwarded through www.eganfuneralhome.com
