Suddenly on Saturday, June 16, 2018, David Fred King, at the age of 63 years, beloved husband of Sandra Vokey. Very proud father of Anita and her husband Mike McConkey, and Christina King. Loving Papa of Nikolas, Alexander and Jackson. Dear son of the late Joan and Harold King. Dear brother of Raymond, Gary (deceased), Betty Ann, Carolyn, and Larry.

Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Sandra and family, I was shocked to hear of Dave’s passing. Please know that Chris and I are thinking of you. If there is anything you need, don’t hesitate to ask. RIP Dave, you will be remembered as Santa by the children, bus driver by the children and “Poppy King” by all who worked with you at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 15, Brampton.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Dave’s sudden passing. He will be fondly remembered by the Downey grandchildren as their bus driver, but also as Santa here at the farm.

We will miss David’s friendly face every morning, going out of his way coming down stairs to great us trainers at work.

David will be missed by many people. As a Fellow a driver Dave was the first person who was on my first charter. He was always there to help out if we needed help. I’m gonna miss seeing his friendly face and to hear his funny jokes

I have only know Dave for about a year as a fellow bus driver but it feels like i have known him for years We have done charters together he was such a pleasure to be around. he was a funny person who would have you laughing when you were around him. It was such a shock when i heard of his passing over the weekend i am still in disbelief. My condolences to the King Family and may Dave rest in peace

I knew Dave at the post office and then at the bus company.
One of. Dave’s favourite things to do was to warn other drivers about traffic hazards so they didn’t get caught up in them.
He was always thinking of his fellow driver.

David had a heart of gold! What a wonderul co-worker! He was always ready and willing to help. I’m going to miss seeing him at the front of the line at Mayfield and hearing his announcements about the road conditions on the 2way radio.
