Condolence from Desiree Newman on January 9th, 2024 7:49 am

Nicole and Jennifer, I am so sad to hear about your Dad’s passing. He was a very kind and generous man. Dave was here in Newfoundland during our wedding and was so very sweet and kind to us and that followed as we had both our kids. We have some special memories and our favorite was when he welcomed us to the cottage (except we refer to it as the cabbage because my three year old daughter couldn’t quite say cottage lol). Your dad was a lovely man who was so very proud of you both and although we didn’t see you as much as him, he kept us updated as you were his favorite topic of conversation. Sending hugs to you and your family during this very difficult time.

Desiree, Chad, Hannah and Jameson

Condolence from Jeff Johnson on January 13th, 2024 7:11 pm

I knew Dave when we worked together in the pre-delivery area of the Ford Motor company. We were both reliefmen in that area and any time I needed his help getting out early, he was always there for me. We got along great, and he used to help me make breakfast for the guys on occasion, when we set up the café and kitchen. Many breakfast Sandwiches, being made and alot of night shift grilling going on is what I remembered. The guys in that area we’re great guys, and Dave would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. My condolences to his family and children, he was a great guy to me and many other people at the plant. I texted him a picture of me and my family on Christmas Day, and he responded later the same day. Somehow I knew he would. I’m saddened by his passing, may his soul rest in peace.
Jeff Johnson and family.

Condolence from Joe D’Alessandro on January 16th, 2024 6:54 pm
