Condolence from Joe Multari on June 25th, 2020 11:07 am

Dear Rob, Sonia and Carlo,
I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your brother, Danny. Upon reminiscing of my time with him on Peacham Crescent in the 1970s, a big smile appeared on my face. Danny was always the more seasoned, more knowledgeable and more athletic kid who we all looked up to. I still have fond memories of Danny winning the ping pong tournament at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Elementary School in 1974. The whole “senior pod” (yes it was the 70s and we were a test site for a new concept of teaching whereby all of the grades 6, 7, 8 students were together) gathered around the table to watch. I was in grade 7 and Danny was my good “friend”that was in grade 8. We all jumped with joy and exploded with excitement and carried him on our shoulders when he won. I can still picture him with that sheepish smile and blushing just a little bit. The best part was that, despite spending summers together, I never even knew that he was a great ping pong player. Just goes to show the athletic prowess that he had! An all around nice guy who was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Rest in peace my friend,

Joe Multari

Anthony and Andrew… there are no words to express my heartbreak over your dad’s passing. Of all the men in my life Danny was at the top of the list of them. He loved Rosie more than life that I am sure of never said much but everything he said always made sense. They always say the good ones leave way to soon and that’s for sure. We love you both are give you both the biggest hugs as you navigate this new journey. We are here for you whatever you may need!

Thought I would add a few photos of some amazing moments we got to have with your dad. He will be forever missed there just isn’t anyone like him xo.

Condolence from Joe Dinardo on June 25th, 2020 9:34 pm

To the entire Gabriele Family,
My condolences to you all on the passing of your beloved Danny. Since we all can’t be together at this time supporting each other in person as we always do – I thought I would share my thoughts & memories in the hope it provides some comfort. I will always think of Danny as a ‘gentle giant’ quiet & unassuming on the outside with the strength & protectiveness of a lion on the inside. I think the best tribute I could give to Danny (which all who knew him already know) is he was a shining example to his boys Anthony & Andrew of what it means to be a devoted & loving husband, a proud & self-less father & respected & trusted friend. While his presence will be greatly missed by all those who loved & cared for him, I hope like me, you will all find comfort in all the wonderful memories which no passage of time can take away from us & solace in the knowledge that Danny is now at peace in the loving circle of his Mom & Dad, his precious Rosie and Our Father in Heaven.

Anthony and Andrew, I want you to both know that I love you bother very much. I can’t imagine what you both must be going through, but I can tell you it hurts for me too. Your dad was such a big part of my life, both in time and in stature. I have so many great memories of him and your mom and of the two of you growing up. I have a picture from my sixth birthday where your mom and dad got me one of my favorite transformers! I remember how exciting it was being a part of their bridal party and doing the video the day of.

I don’t remember a time in my life that Danny wasn’t a part of it, he was just always there. He had a great smile and a funny laugh. He truly was a great guy and he loved your mom and you both so much.

If I find any positive through the pain, it’s that he’s now in heaven with your mom. I truly do believe that’s where he always wanted to be, right by her side. They were something else the 2 of them and I’ll continue to miss them both dearly…

Im here for you both if you need anything at all.

My condolences to Danny’s family and all of my family as well. I love you all.

I’m betting Danny and Rosie are sharing a smile and a hug in heaven while watching over us.

Godspeed Danny

Love cousin Vince
