What sad sad news; our hearts are breaking for you. It is so hard to believe that we will not be able to have our cottage chats with Dan anymore, to see him taking off in the boat, to greet each other every weekend. It is funny how we take people for granted sometimes. Dann was a great husband, father, friend and co-worker. He was our dog’s “poo buddy”. He took him out every day during his lunch. He was so proud of Chris when he was working at the resort and was so proud of Kevin when he started college. He always looked forward going to the cottage with Jan. He always made sure the shop was locked up at the end of the day when I was alone in the office. He will be missed dearly. Be strong and take good care of each other. Please remember all the good, happy thoughts and loving memories in such a heartbreaking time. Love you all.

Jan, I was so shocked to hear the news about Dann. It was wonderful seeing you both before we closed up the cottages for the winter and fun seeing Dann use your new lift.

Words cannot begin to express what you must be feeling at the sudden loss of your husband and father. We know from Laura that he was a good man who loved his family and was very much loved in return. He was taken too soon and to say that he will be missed is an understatement but if you close your eyes and look inward, you can always find him in a corner of your heart….
