I respected & liked very , very much the wonderful man Dan. My last 22 years in the equipment industry I had the joy of working with him & my prior 26 years we were competitors but I very much did respect him. My condolence to the family.

I’m so sorry to hear about Dan’s passing. It’s been years since I worked with him at ESS, but he sure left a lasting impression. I still use all of his sayings. “I was born at night but not last night.” I wish I could be there tomorrow to pay my respects. He will be on my mind all day. I was very sad to heard of Dan’s passing from my sister Anne White of “White’s Wearparts Ltd. ” today and I would like to pass on my condolences to the WOOD family . I use to call Dan “CUZ” as our last names and even our nic names were the same and there was always a friendly give and take between us , as “ESS”and my old company “Wood Bros. Equipment” were in direct competition for many years with two of the biggest players at that time in the Wearparts tooth game , with “ESS” having ESCO and myself having HENSLEY . Even with that tough competition between us , Dan was one of the few guys I knew in the Equipment and / or Equipment Parts game that his WORD and ACTIONS were GOLDEN and you could go to the bank on his hand shake and / or word alone ( can’t do that today with many ) . So to Dan’s family , a guy like Dan will always be remembered fondly even by the direct competition !!!

Danny was truly an amazing individual and the most honest salesman I’ve ever met. Him and my dad got a long so well because they both honoured the code of the handshake. Priestly’s successful equipment fleet was built on deals that Danny set up over the years. His love for you was unwavering and something I always admired. He will be greatly missed in the halls of the Priestly offices. xoxo

Noni, we are sorry for your loss. We always knew when Danny was around. His bold laugh and snide sense of humor always had us smiling. His love for life was always evident. He will definitely be missed.

I knew Dan for over sixty years.He was an usher at my Wedding and we were always having fun together in our younger years.I will miss him like a brother .My condolences go out to Nony as well as to his siblings Kenny and Margret., and sons Steven and Scott.
