Condolence from Steve Tester on September 4th, 2015 12:27 pm

Dear Family of Aunt Clare,

We were fortunate to get to know Aunt Clare better during a visit at our wedding and on a trip to Ontario a few years ago. We certainly enjoyed her energy and vibrant personality. And also her great cooking! We still use her recipe for meatballs. Her sister in law, Florence Tester, at 92, is doing well and wishes to pass along her condolences as well. Florence plans to send a note.

We wish you well during this time of sadness but also warm memories. How wonderful she could be with you these 100 years!

Love
Florence, Steve, Sandee and Laurel

Dear cousins Valerie & Virginia, I was sorry to hear about Aunt Clara’s passing. Her loss must be great to both of you. Yet, what a beautiful, long life she had, with so much loving family at her side.

Visiting Aunt Clara and Uncle Leo when we were kids was like winning the lottery. At home, it was puffed wheat cereal. At your Mom’s, it was Captain Crunch! The first time we had dinner there, we all filled up on her wonderful pasta. When the roast beef, potatoes and vegetables followed, we were all kicking ourselves for having eaten so much pasta. It was a feast unlike anything we had experienced! Most of all, her wonderful sense of humour and compassion remain a cherished memory. She was “the special Auntie”.

Much love to you both – Mary Elizabeth
