Chris was a treasure! He was far more than just a beautiful and talented man. He had a unique quality of wisdom and innocence about him and he will be much missed by his family and friends. I had not seen Chris in many years but I promise you one thing, he is only a breath away.

We loved him. He was special in so many ways. A gentle spiritual soul possessed of musical genius and an extraordinary literary ability,
unknown to many until his illness. Chris is a huge loss to the creative world as well as to his beloved Moira, loving family and friends such as us, But what a shining legacy he left for us all ……..

Thank you, Moira, for that amazing portrait of your beloved man. You captured what he was revealing in his blog. I am graced to have shared some brief time and space with Christopher this go round. Talent galore, and such a delectable, wicked, silly bugger sense of humour. My dearest love to you, to all the family.

Condolence from Stephen Hudecki on August 11th, 2010 12:35 pm

Condolence from Don Campbell on August 11th, 2010 2:51 pm

Those who bring the art of energetic harmonics, beauty and sweet melodies to life are ever alive in the pulse and hearts of humanity. Chris was a pioneer, a sculptor of sound and a true visionary. He now is in the eternal sound of Light.

My sympathetic resonance is with all of you, dear friends.
Much love from Boulder.

Condolence from KMP Painting Canada (Kathleen Lynch) on August 17th, 2010 8:14 pm

For the first time in all my years as a painter, I painted to “musical creation”. It was both fascinating and soothing. Thank you Chris for giving me a memory I tell of often.

Condolence from Darius Drewe Shimon on September 23rd, 2010 12:02 am

I am saddened to hear of Chris’ passing: his music, particularly his two solo albums and of course his work with The Free Design, meant a great deal to me and were a constant source of happiness and relaxation- as well as psychedelic illumination- in a very unsettled world. I was never lucky enough to have known him personally, but we in the UK that know about music (yes, there are a few of us) all appreciated his genius. Of course, our grief can’t compare to that which his family must have suffered, but we’d like to remmber him the best way we can. And with that end in mind, my tribute to him (I am a journalist by profession) should HOPEFULLY, as long as the so-called editors don’t muck it up, appear in the next edition of Shindig! magazine. I hope one of you sees it….

Condolence from Craig Cassils on December 23rd, 2010 9:52 pm

My heart is saddened at this Christmas time. Chris and I crossed paths unknowingly through our music on the Indianapolis Children’s Choir ‘Making Spirits Bright’ CD, which is playing full volume right now in my house. I contacted Chris after first hearing his ‘Sweets Songs of Christmas’ to let him know it had become my new favourite Christmas song. It will long be my favourite. Chris put in song what Christmas and music are to me, and I will listen to that thrilling song forever, I believe. Thanks again, Chris. You continue to touch my heart.
