With great sorrow his family announces that, in his 47^th year, Chris passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 12, 2009, at Toronto Western Hospital. Beloved husband of Carol and loving father of Kaitlyn and Rayson. Dear son of the late Janet and Michael D. Martyn. Dearly missed by his sister Lynn (Paul Murphy) and brother Michael (Penny Hollinsworth). Fondly remembered by aunts Nellie Murphy (Ted), Lucy Tessaro (Peter). Sadly missed by in-laws Joan and Peter Cowen, sisters-in-law Brenda (Tom Delgaty), Dana (Stan Cucconato) and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Chris was employed by Nortel and Bell Canada since his graduation from Lakehead University’s Electrical Engineering Degree program in 1998. His career brought him and his family to their new home in Orangeville where they currently reside. He was an avid fan of music, hockey, football and loved to golf. His greatest joy was his family. Although Chris travelled extensively, his favourite destination was Sunnyside Beach and frequently returned home with his family. The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) Wednesday, September 16 from one o’clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at 2 o’clock.
