Veteran World War II, Royal Canadian Navy; Past Member Royal Canadian Legion, Oakwood Branch, Toronto; Retired employee after 35 years with Laura Secord Chocolates, Toronto

Peacefully, after a brief illness, at Etobicoke General Hospital, on Friday, June 3, 2011, Chesley Mercer, Bolton, formerly of Etobicoke, in his 92nd year, beloved husband of Marguerite Kinnear. Dear father of Wendell Mercer, British Columbia; Phyllis and John MacMicking, Bolton; Craig and Inez Mercer, Georgetown; Cherylann and Tullio Baldesarra, Bolton. Loving “Pa” of Megan, Chad, Charlena, Brandon, Dylan, Alec and Victoria.

The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Sunday afternoon 2 – 5 o’clock.

Memorial service will be held in the chapel on Monday morning, June 6 at 11 o’clock.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
