On Saturday, October 27, 2018 Cheryl Anne (Baker) Carre was an innocent pedestrian killed as a result of a motor vehicle incident. The tragedy is devastating for her husband Kevin, mother Carol Baker, brothers Chris and Kevin, as well as Eric, Denise, and Laura Carre. Also, she will be missed by her beloved nieces, Chloe and Sophie, and her extended family.

Kevin met Cheryl in August 2000 and they were later married in June 2002. They had 16 happy years where they cherished one another and were looking forward to many more when this tragedy occurred. She was positive, gentle, and charming, and determined to improve the day of her family, friends, and anyone she met. She loved her life, her husband, her family, her home of Bradford, and her job and co-workers at Home Depot.

The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Saturday morning, November 17 from 10 o’clock until time of a celebration of life service in the chapel at 11 o’clock.

Followed by a reception at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, should you wish to donate, please consider The Girl Guides of Canada, 50 Merton Street, Toronto M4S 1A3 (www.girlguides.ca) or The Ontario 4-H Foundation, 111 Main Street N., P.O. Box 212, Rockwood N0B 2K0 (www.4-hontario.ca), as both groups were important to Cheryl.

I’m so sorry on your loss of Cheryl. I’m a former co worker from Home Depot for many years. Cheryl was the most upbeat, friendly lady I’ve ever met. She’d always greet you with “How’s it going?” and meant it. I never saw her in a bad or sad moody, she was consistantly pleasant. Cherish your memories of Cheryl and know she is always by your side in spirit. RIP Cheryl. You are a beautiful angel now.

Dear Carol and family;
We are so saddened to hear of this tragedy, and your loss. We have such fond memories of Cheryl as she was the ‘older’ and wiser of the little ones who frequented your home over 20 years ago. We recall her babysitting at our house and our kids always being happy in Cheryl’s company. Our knowing hearts go out to you all at this sad time.
Sending our love – Liz, Harald and Martina

Condolence from J. on March 18th, 2019 10:46 pm

I hope I am not too late to write my condolences. I was shocked when I heard the news. I have only worked with Cheryl for only a few months but those few months working were made so much better because of her. Cheryl was so kind, friendly and accommodating. She always took her time to talk to me even though I am a very quiet and introverted person. She was always ready to help me when I needed it. Even after I left everytime our paths were to cross she would always say hi and talk to me. I appreciated her so much for all the effort she gave to talk to me. Thank you so much Cheryl, I am so glad I had the chance to get to know you. My heart is with the family and she will be dearly missed.
