I took a sailing course from Che many years ago and began racing, and saw him many times on the beer boat. He was great fun to have as a teacher and always the perfect host on the beer boat. He is gone too soon. Rest in peace, friend.

Condolence from Gregory DeCastro on March 16th, 2017 11:32 pm

Dear Christine and Family:

Patsy and I were stunned to hear of Che’s tragic death. He lived his life without reservations and to the fullest, he conquered many a turbulent seas. To die on vacation while doing something so tame by comparison, is perhaps the greatest irony of life. Che’s smile and great presence will be greatly missed by all who ever had the pleasure of meeting him.

May the memories of the times we enjoyed with Che help to heal the wound created by his sudden departure.

With a heavy heart, love,

Patsy & Greg DeCastro

Condolence from Jamie Crane on October 11th, 2018 12:48 pm

Che and I worked, sailed, hung out and had some very memorable times and its times like this when you realize just how fleeting and precious life can be. Che was such an energetic, positive thinking and progressive person

Never for a moment did I think that something like this would every happen at such an early age.

I knew Che was in Saint Maarten and envisioned one day meeting up once again and so sorry to learn… and will utter disbelief… the destressing news that putting off re-connecting with him would catch up with us.

Sincere condolences to his family Christine, Cody and Joey.

Gone but never never never forgotten.

Jamie Crane and Joseph Xavier.
