We are so saddened to hear of Chuck’s passing. We had such a wonderful visit last fall with Chuck at Charlie Vaughn’s funeral. A lot of memories were shared. Having worked at Leavens Air Charter from 1971 to 1979, I can attest to the accuracy of the above obituary – honour, integrity, generosity, honesty, a gentleman and a gentle man – that was Chuck to a “T”. We thought the 2012 Hall of Fame induction of Leavens Aviation was the end of an era. We were wrong – Chuck’s passing brings an absolute conclusion to 86 years of “Brothers” co-operation. May the seven brothers camp, fly, and reminisce together somewhere safe in a warm blue sky. Strength to Terri and Lea Anne to carry on without Chuck.

We were your neighbors in Chomedey and, as a Montreal Soaring Council director of aircraft maintenance, I often had parts orders delivered to our house. After you left for Toronto, we bought your house and have lived here ever since.
We remember you as good neighbors and Chuck was the kind of guy you like to do business with. May he rest in peace and fly forever !
