Effie, so sorry to hear of Charlene’s passing. Your Mom was a trooper, literally, and we always joked that she would bring a tank home from work to help us with the Allan Drive negotiations! I always enjoyed our time together as Churchwardens and your Mom could dish it out with that twinkle in her eye that let you know she cared about you and that she got the joke. Our deepest sympathy. I know how proud of you that she was.

Dear Effie,
Your mom was a very special woman and a person who did care how everyone else felt first before herself to the very end. Of course you will miss her the most of all of us but you get to carry on the tradition so she would be most proud of that. Bless you.

Charlene was a long-time member of the Chancel Guild as am I. Getting together to decorate the church for assorted festivities was always fun. I will remember her.

What a wonderful woman she was! She will be sorely missed!
Charlene would keep me in line in the church kitchen if she felt that I was not doing something properly. She was such a hard worker for Christ Church, Bolton. Her presence there will also be greatly missed. I just cannot imagine a service without Charlene being there somewhere.
I wish her family all the very best during this sad time. My thoughts and prayers are with all of them especially Effie.
