Condolences for the family of “Catherine Stevenson”

Condolence from Doris Porter on June 24th, 2015 12:45 pm

To Catherine’s family:
My husband was a resident of King Nursing Home for several years and I was a regular visitor there. He passed away in March so I haven’t been there so much lately. But I went over today and planned to spend some time with Catherine whom I had come to like and admire. I’m sure there is no shortage of scarves in your family! My thoughts and prayers are with you . I know she will be missed. Wherever she is she will be sure to keep an eye on developments in Scotland. She was pretty upset about that referendum!

I am a volunteer at KNH and missed Katherine at happy hour Friday did not find out till Tuesday when we took the residents to lunch that she had passed away, being from Scotland myself it was such a treat to bring her back little gifts and of course the scottish calendar whenever I was over on holiday, I will miss her very much and my heart goes out to her family as I know it will be very sad to have her missing from their lives.

Condolence from Linda Bright nee Kennedy on December 28th, 2015 11:43 pm

I am sorry to have read this obituary Katrina. I use to meet your Mom at Tim Hortons on Country Crt Blvd. quite often when I was working across the road. I was always fond of her . She was on my mind off and on over the years and I googled her name in December, 2015 and found this.

I looked at her face and thought of the memories of staying at your house all night when we were kids. Your mom would take off her slipper and threaten to smack you with it , LOL!, when she thought we were being bad.

I remember how she liked her cookies with coffee. I remember how she cooked her roast beef on Sundays well done with dark gravy and roasted potatoes . This was on Laddie Cres.

I hope she did not suffer and hope she is in heaven looking down on you, Frank and Anna….and Ryan.

Linda, your old childhood friend.
