For Carol my most loved Sister-in- Law, (Sister) you were a true sister to me Carol. Over 50 years of knowing you as a best friend, I love you so much. You also said that my Mom was very special to you, and together we brought up our children remembering and leaning on each other. I truly won’t be the same without you. I know that being with Gord now was what you needed most. I saw a deeply devoted couple to each other, you always took care of Gord, in life and now in death. I admired your love for each other. I will miss you every day, I know that we will meet again.

May God Bless You and open the door to Heaven.

I will somehow say goodbye but memories will forever stay in my heart.

Condolence from Nancy Dow on September 29th, 2016 1:08 pm

Another star from one of the “most popular girls from NDG” now shines from the heavens above…

Auntie Carol was an inspiring woman & Godmother. Her quiet, firm & kind strength could have easily been missed, if you were too busy to look. She embraced the simple & big gifts life had to offer and never hesitated to show her love for someone she cared for. She was a remarkable woman and someone I was very lucky to have influencing my life, even subtly. Her love for uncle Gordie was beautiful and he was patiently waiting to be reunited with open arms and a full heart. Auntie Carol cherished her children and grandchildren… her love and adoration for her family was effortless. My deepest heartfelt condolences to Susanne & Craig – both of you are such beautiful reflections of your mom & dad.
with love,
Nancy Dow

Dear Susanne and Craig,
I am very saddened to hear of the untimely passing of your beautiful mother. Carol volunteered at Ellwood Memorial P.S. many times and she was always so proud of you both and my feelings are the same. As mothers go, they don’t come any better than Carol. It was my pleasure teaching you and knowing that you both have families that will thrive on your mother’s love.
