Carla Maria Calabrese, beloved mother of Sara (Paul) and Fabio (Lisa), passed away peacefully on January 14th in her 95th year after many years of mental and physical decline due to Alzheimer’s disease.

She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren; Bianca, Christian (Felicia) and Lyric; her sisters in Italy Enrica, Rosangela, Pinuccia, nieces Stefania and Daniela and their families and many friends. She will be remembered as a humble, kind and generous soul who loved her family above all.

Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass has been scheduled for Thursday morning, January 27 at 10:00 a.m. at St David’s Church, 2691 Major Mackenzie Drive West, Maple (905-832-5595).

Due to covid-19 protocols, please contact the church to reserve a spot if you wish to attend. 

Carla’s family wishes to thank the many caregivers at Villa Gambin who made sure she was always well looked after and comfortable. We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many people who have offered their expression of sympathy. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario in Carla’s name would be appreciated.
