I was very sadden to learn of Bruce’s death, I always considered Bruce not only to be a good customer, But to be a good friend and associate. I realized that he had fought a valiant fight with his illness but it seens unreal and impossible that he is gone. Bruce, although Ali and I haven’t known you long, you’ve left such an exuberant, honest, and deeply etched memory in both our hearts and our minds. Although it has been over 30 years since I had seen your family, I always had fond memories of our time living across the street on Freemont Ave. Remembering touring your father’s station, riding a snowmobile or going out to help with landscaping in the truck, brings a smile to my face. I just want to say on behalf of Marilyn and myself how sad we were to learn of Bruce’s passing. Unfortunately, I am in Whistler BC attending a national meeting and could not come back to be at the funeral. Marilyn will be there, and you know that I am there in spirit with you all.

When I think of Bruce, I think of a man who lived his life to the fullest, who believed in himself and his family, and who never let adversity hold him back. He would blush if he knew that I always thought of him as inspirational, a man to be emulated for his focus, his dedication to family and his ability to forge ahead in good times and bad. I will miss him dearly.

Since I heard of his death, the song by Frank Sinatara, MY WAY, has been playing in my head and I think it is a very fitting way to remember Bruce- a man who did it is his way.
