It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of Botand Kornyei from Etobicoke, Ontario. He passed away peacefully on February 26, 2019 at Humber River Hospital (Keele and Wilson) in Toronto.

He leaves behind his mother, Ida Kornyei, resident of Woodbridge Vista Care Community and was predeceased by his father artist Otto Kornyei. Both parents immigrated to Canada from Hungary. Botand was proud of his Hungarian background.

He went to school in Etobicoke and studied photography at Humber College. He was a car enthusiast and loved all types of Fords and Mustangs.

Botand was proud of his membership in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and worked as a licensed electrician.

Thanks to the caring staff at Humber River Hospital.

Funeral service will be held in the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Saturday, March 2 at 2 o’clock.

Followed by cremation.
