Chris, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this time. I only had the pleasure of meeting your dad a couple of times, but he was a really sweet man.

Condolence from Lorna & Gregg Embrey on October 28th, 2013 9:45 am

To Bert’s family and especially Joan,
How very sad Gregg and I are to hear of Bert’s passing. We had the delightful pleasure of meeting him last year on a cruise where he and I became instant friends…not just because of Bert’s charm, smile and friendliness but also because of our shared Newfoundland heritage. We both feel so lucky to have known him. The world has lost a lovely man.

We’re sure going to miss Uncle Bert. He worked so hard to try and keep all the extended family connected. And he loved each one of us just as we are – without judgement. He was interested in what was going on in each of our lives. He was the best of us all. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family at this difficult time.
