Condolence from Heather Whittier on August 4th, 2016 9:07 am

Bertha was a teacher friend who drove with me and another teacher to the retired teacher meetings. She would quietly make a comment about the latest town construction and the loss of farm land. When her chickens were stollen from her egg selling business, her comment was, “He must have needed them more than me. Bertha had a quiet love that shone through wherever she went.
Bertha had a quiet strength and determination that was remarkable.
Although Bertha is in a much better place now, she will be missed.
Please accept my sincere condolences,
Hez. (Heather Whittier)
