Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, October 12, 2019, Ben passed away. Loving husband of the late Susan. Cherished father of Mark and Brieanne. Dear son of Sonya and the late Gunther Steffen. Beloved brother and brother-in-law of Angie, Susan, Raymond, Jackie, Scott (Karen), Sandy (Mike), Ian (Shelley), and the predeceased by his sister Michele and his brother Edward. Remembered fondly by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Thursday, October 17 from one o’clock until time of memorial service in the chapel at 2 o’clock.

Ben was the big brother we looked up to on our street in Rexdale. He was firm with Raymond and all the younger boys but he was always willing to help us when we needed it. His laugh was contagious. Fond memories growing up with the Steffen family.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked with Ben on the Volunteer Builders’ weekends. I will always remember Ben’s positive outlook, his constant smile and his infectious laugh at the Build. He will be missed by all the Volunteer Builders.
