It was a pleasure to spend time in Ben’s company. He was a loving, proud, father, and dedicated husband. He was loved by everyone who knew him – his many friends and family. His kindness and humour will be missed.

One thing I will never forget is that lovely smile Ben always had , such wonderful and caring man You will be greatly missed by all .

Ben was the big brother we looked up to on our street in Rexdale. He was firm with Raymond and all the younger boys but he was always willing to help us when we needed it. His laugh was contagious. Fond memories growing up with the Steffen family.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked with Ben on the Volunteer Builders’ weekends. I will always remember Ben’s positive outlook, his constant smile and his infectious laugh at the Build. He will be missed by all the Volunteer Builders.

I had not seen Ben for years but on the rare occasion when we crossed paths it was always a bright spot in my day. He was a lovely man. So very sorry for your loss.
