Condolence from Mary McGee on March 20th, 2023 9:39 pm

Melanie, Mandy and family. So saddened to hear of your Dad’s passing yesterday afternoon. Barry fought so bravely through his challenges of the last few years. He was so happy with the love and support he always had with you. I was very fortunate to know an amazing couple in Barry and Marlene for decades and have many fond memories of dinners, lunches, telephone conversations and outings together with many others in our “school gang”. We had even shared the same house in Pine Grove (me as a child and them as a young married couple). This is a very difficult time for you but I hope the wonderful memories you have of Dad and Mom and your whole life with them will allow you to find peace that they are together once again.

Condolence from Doug and Gail Lister on March 20th, 2023 11:49 pm

Melanie and Mandy, so very sorry for your’s and your family’s loss. My last chat with your dad was in January. He was updating me on the family and telling me about your Sunday dinners together which he so enjoyed. He was so easy to talk with and wanted to know how our family was doing…..very interested and so thoughtful. Having lost both your mom and dad within a short 2 – 1/2 year span will be so hard. Please know you’re in my prayers. Love Gail

So saddened to hear of Barry’s passing. I knew Barry as far back as Woodbridge P.S. Wife Marnie was also a long-time friend from public school. We reconnected here and there over the years and occasionally Barry would call to say hello. Last we spoke was in January of this year. Always a kind and gentle person who spoke proudly of his family and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Condolence from Jamie Lindsay on March 22nd, 2023 11:02 am

I know that you and Aunt Marlene are together and sharing that contagious laughter and love.

I remember our visits at Christmas fondly and will carry the memory of you both with me forever. I hope that wherever you are, there is an endless supply of after eight thin mints to make up for the one’s Papa (Jerry Smith) and I would sneakily consume at your home each year. Heaven is a place where you should reach in to that container and not just find empty thin mint wrappers.

Extending big hugs and my deepest condolences.
We love you dearly Uncle Barry.

To Barry’s family.
Please accept my sincerest condolences at the loss of your Dad. Just recently we spoke and shared our stories with one another.

You can honour him by cherishing the memories you have and by always keeping him close to your heart. Take care of each other.
