Barbara Joan Dunne nee Pinnington

At Sunrise Seniors Living Centre, Aurora, on Thursday, September 10, 2015, Barbara Dunne, in her 89th year, beloved wife of the late William Michael Dunne. Loving mother of Carol Ann and her husband James Brown, Mary Ann and her husband Michael LeBreton, William Jr. and his wife Lisa, and predeceased by her daughter Catherine Allengame. Cherished grandmother of Gregory, Rachel and her husband Alex, Christopher, and Cody. Dear sister of Pat and her husband Murray, John and his wife Linda Lou, Jim (deceased) and Shirley.

Starting out as a nurse, then a TCA Stewardess, Mom moved on to her most cherished role, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her winters in Sarasota, Summers in the Kawarthas and everything in between at Dunhaven Farms. Mom never turned down a game of cards, a good deal on jewellery or a dinner out with friends or family. The many Blue Jay Cruises with her daughters was a clear example of her love for her beloved team. We have had our time with Mom, and now we take comfort in knowing that she will be reunited with her lifelong partner and her loving daughter.

The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Sunday afternoon 1 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock.

Funeral Mass will be held in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 60 Allan Drive, Bolton on Monday morning, September 14 at 10 o’clock (leaving funeral home at 9:45 a.m.).

Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Schomberg.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to Southlake Regional Care Centre Foundation, 581 Davis Drive, Newmarket, L3Y 2P6.
