Remmig Web

Peacefully, at Maple Grove Community Brampton on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Antonius Remmig, at age 93 years, beloved husband of 70 years to Carolina Gertruda Remmig.  A fun loving father and father-in-law to Elisabeth and John Humphreys, Anthony and Catherine Remmig.  Forever cherished by 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren that meant everything to him. A proud and dear brother to Paula, Peter, Ellie, Guus, Riete and Loek. An adventurer at heart, he came to Canada from the Netherlands seeking the hand of the fair Carolina. A believer in hard work and a desire to impart the wealth of knowledge in welding and metal work, he taught many students in the art and gave back to the industry that helped him thrive. Wonderful memories of family card nights with friends, children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for the singing of songs from home reminding us all of the life he had in Holland. He will be greatly missed.

Memorial Service will be held at Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street South (Hwy. 50), Bolton, Ontario L7E2C6 (905-857-2213) in the chapel on Wednesday, February 25th at 12 pm.  Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com.

Good Bye my love we will miss you terribly.

Carolina and family
My deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear husband, father and great grandfather. May your memories of times together give you strength and peace during this most difficult time.
Carolina, l will forever miss our times together and our talks we had at Maple Grove, while you waited for your ride. Our husbands shared the same dinner table and it was there we got to know each other and through our talks we found we had many things in common and because we were going through the same circumstances, in a sense l felt we were supporting each other.
God Bless and will see you soon
Marilyn

My condolences to the Remmig family. I knew Mr & Mrs Remmig since Lis & I were teenagers in high school. Mr Remmig was a lovely man, always smiling & joking. I have fond memories of the Remmig family from that time.
