Condolence from Loire on November 11th, 2014 3:36 am

Oh Allen,

For the years since we met I have watched you both float and tumble throughout life, always with a good heart and the best of intentions. I always knew that you would do anything to please people you accepted into your fold and you strived your best to do so with little or no consequence to your own well being. I am not sure if you were capable or even aware of dealing with the evils of life as you completely ignored them and always saw the good in people which is what made you so uniquely you. You battled many demons and still looked at life with positive prospects and hope.
I know the passing of your Father hit you hard. I know you loved your Mom and your sisters deeply. We spoke of this many times. It is they, and many others you have touched, both family and friends who will keep your memory alive.
I never believed I would be alive to write these words as I thought one day when we would both eighty or so we would still be in touch to recite some stupid form of the ABC’s.
To Joan, Lori, Carol, and to all the family members, I am truly sorry that Allen is gone. I do hope that he has found a more peaceful place than here and that his soul is at rest.

Little Al
Through good times and bad you always
Had that special smile and the warmest hug.
Your walk Your talk That strut That butt
The way you would listen and have positive
Thinking during life’s turns.
Your smile so big your giggle to follow
The genuine love for your family
Through rocky roads and rainy days you
Certainly had your own way to help the sun shine
You’re heart so big.
The sincerity in your voice when you spoke
“I love you ”
” I love you too ”
Xoxo aunt Jan

Joan, Laurie, Carol, extended family and close friends,

I’m so very sorry for this terrible loss of Al and his dad, painfully close together…. It had been many years since I have seen Al, but I have many memories of him, Laurie and Carol, his mum and dad, at the house in Bolton. Al was always a sparkly guy, who had a gift for making people smile. You’ll each be in my thoughts in the coming months.
Sincere condolences,
Briar
