Alexander Keith Web

1943-2019

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Alexander “Sandy” Keith on Sunday, March 10th, 2019, after a brief illness, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Genevieve, he is survived by his daughter Alexandria, his son Justin, his son-in-law Rob, and his cherished grandchildren Hannah and Ethan; also sadly missed by his brother Robbie and wife Dorinda, his sister Anne and her husband Roger Wilson, and other relatives and friends.

Born and raised in Richmond Hill, a passion for the outdoors was instilled in him through summers at the Bala family cottage, on long canoe trips, and at Camp Kandalore. Having met and married his wife in western Canada, he returned to Ontario to raise his young family in their new home in Bolton. Always willing to lend a hand to family and friend, there he found the opportunity to express his commitment to the community and remained a dedicated member of local projects and organizations. This unwavering loyalty and generosity, so often unsolicited and cordially offered, found its strongest expression as a devoted, loving grandfather.

The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Wednesday morning, March 27th from 10 o’clock until time of the memorial service in the chapel at 11 o’clock. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome in Sandy’s memory to the Canadian Blood Services, 1800 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa K1G 4J5. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com.

Gen, Justin, Alexie and family,

The shock of Sandy’s passing is still with us. We wait for him to walk by the side window and wave as he putters. We look for him to greet us as we pull into the driveway at night. We miss his smile when he watched the kids play hockey in the driveway.
His sudden passing has shocked the whole Neighborhood .
As a community, please know we are here for you in anyway. His memory will live on in our hearts.
