Alex Smith, beloved husband of Anne Smith for 57 years, died very suddenly on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the age of 75 years. His wit and devil may care attitude to life will be missed by me and I’m sure by those who knew him. Rest in peace sweetie. Wait for me and say hi to Sam, Maggie and Nicky.
Due to our global pandemic, the family is having a private funeral service.

Every once and a while in life you meet a character and Alex was one of those. A character who was genuine, wore his heart on his sleeve, was kind, fond of animals, loved a good joke and especially loved his dear wife Anne. An all round great guy and great neighbour, I will miss his smiling face.
We are heartbroken to hear about your Alex our wee brother, wish we could be with you at this sad time. So happy to know you have great friends and neighbours who will help look after you. We can only sit and reminisce now and talk about Alex our brother who could make us laugh so much with his funny stories and his fab sense of humour. We will miss him so much, love always Anne xx John & Sylvia

Alex was one-of-a-kind. We will miss seeing the garage door open and Alex inside relaxing and enjoying life. He was an animated story teller with an infectious laugh. We will also miss his caring, big heart and warm smile.
Wishing you peace and comfort during this sad time….Darlene & Brian
