In Memorial

Peacefully with his daughters and son-in-law by his side, at Toronto General Hospital on Friday, December 19, 2014, Alan Jack, Caledon, joined his beloved wife Marly who passed away on January 10 of this year. Loving dad of Tracey and her husband Mark Tobin, and Tara Jack. Adored Pops of Aynsley and Reid Tobin. Dear brother of Lorna Jack and Mary (Jack) Eidsforth of Burlington and of the late Richard and David. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and business colleagues world wide. Al Jack was co-founder and CEO of AFA Forest Products – his passion for over 40 years. He was an industry leader, an icon and a legend. He was an astute business man who valued family above all else. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds and he touched and changed the lives of all of those around him.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at Granite Ridge Golf Course on Tuesday, December 30 beginning at 5 o’clock.

There will be a brief funeral service for immediate family only at an earlier time. Private interment Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton. Arrangements by Egan Funeral Home, Bolton (905-857-2213).

If desired, memorial donations may be made to Toronto General Hospital Foundation in support of Lung Transplant Research – as without this, Dad would not have had the last 10 years. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

Just heard the news – sad to hear of Mr Jacks passing , sadder too hear that Mrs had passed in January. Memories of all the good time in their back yard in Boulding , great memories!!

Also of the Jacks generosity , warmth , kindness — they made a difference in the lives of my family , especially my mother – for that I am grateful.

Rest in peace – memories of a life well lived!!!
