Anna
Alan has carved a place in our hearts that will live on in our memories until we meet him again..
You are an amazing woman
Watching you over the last
few months …have been hard . But through it all you kept your composure
You did what needed to be done. Your true strength shined through
And you did it with class and elegance..

Promise us you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think

We love you very much !

My condolences to Auntie Anna, my cousins, their spouses and their children. I have fond memories of uncle Alan. I remember a trip to “Dot’s cottage” in the summer when were small lots of boating but most of all a misadventure where all the boys uncle Alan, my Dad and I drifted down Georgian Bay in a tiny dingy! More recently time in Florida where my kids got the chance to know uncle Alan as well.

He will be missed.
Our deepest sympathies.

Condolence from Rose on January 19th, 2020 5:14 pm

Anna
Norm and I just want to take a moment to say we love you. We loved Alan.
We have so many memories of enjoying moments with the two of you. For me I was only 7 when you brought him around Kane Ave as your boyfriend. It didn’t seem that long to me and you two were getting married. I was only 8 at the time and remember being worried you wouldn’t live in the same house with me anymore. But instead it
turned out then I didn’t loose my sister but gained a brother In law who was
More like a big brother to me . You both use to come get me and take me for rides in your car and for ice cream some times which was a huge treat back in the day. Alan use to have this long hair and His own car and I thought he was so cool. Then you started your own family and Alan Junior was born. Your whole family celebrated the birth of this next generation. By then I was 13 and able to babysit for you both while you had the odd date night. You both use to let me come to your house on Rockcliffe whenever I wanted to.
Then you moved to Brampton and proceeded to have Keith and Mark and I remember staying at your
Place with the boys the three little musketeers. Then Julia came into the picture and your family was complete. You moved a few times since then and I grew up to finally be an adult and when I married Norm you and Alan were right there by our side as maid of honour and Best Man. Oh the fun we have had through the years. Many many dinners out and dinners at your home. Texas hold ‘em games and lining up outside the new casino at the time Niagara Casino oh wasn’t it fun. And the cruise we all did together and the trip with you both when you took mom and I to Newfoundland. All those family events, baptisms birthday parties Halloween parties you could always throw a great party. Alan was always there by your side celebrating each and every event. Then all your children found amazing partners ( Michelle, Stacey, Kim and Anthony) and with them came your wonderful grandchildren all 8 of them. Each time I ever seen Alan with his grandchildren I believe his smile shined the brightest because he was so proud of the life he had built with you and the family you created together. What a beautiful family it is.
Alan you will be missed more then we can truly express in words. Please watch over your amazing wife Anna and your family as they mourn you in body but remember your spirit and memories you provided them will live on throughout their life time.
Anna and family: Stay strong , stay brave embrace your memories
Love Rose and Norm Greedy
