Condolence from Donna (nee Davis) on January 22nd, 2012 6:44 pm

Mrs. Norton was a part of everyday life for so many Malton children as she shepparded them across the train tracks at the Malton Railway Station. in the 1960’s and 70’s. I was very happy to see her year’s later while voting at Our Lady of the Airways. Thank you Mrs. Norton. Prayers and condolances to her family. May you rest in peace.

Condolence from Bonnie on January 23rd, 2012 9:42 am

Mrs. Norton was like a grandmother to me. Many of my friends and family were saddened by her death as they all knew her since she was such a part of our family. She had a beautiful smile, wonderful laugh and I loved how she spoke her mind. She remembered everything going on in our lives and always asked mom about us. I’m glad I got to see her the day before she passed. She will forever be remembered fondly and with love. I will miss her. xo

Condolence from William (Bill) Day on January 23rd, 2012 11:11 am

My thoughts & prayers are with the family at this time. I will always remember Mrs. Norton stopping in to visit my Mother (Shirley Day) for afternoon tea after her walk.

Condolence from Elizabeth (nee Trimble) on January 23rd, 2012 10:05 pm

As a school girl that lived on the “other side of the tracks” from the school it was always good to see Mrs. Norton at the tracks to make sure we got across safely. Whenever I cross the tracks today I think of her fondly. The last time I saw her was at an event at the Malton Community Centre, it was great to sit and have a chat like we used to at the train station.

I wish to extend my deepest heart felt sympathy to the family. RIP
