After making it through three bouts of cancer, you may already have guessed, I didn’t survive. Passed gently at Bethell Hospice, Inglewood, on Friday, June 26, 2015, Connie Lund, in her 72nd year, beloved wife for 54 years of Ken. Loving mother of Christopher, Wendy, and Erny. Proud CC of Jason (Taryn), Scott (Laura), and Sydney (Gavin). Cherished sister of Dave (Pat), Merle Osborne (Bob), Larry (Donna), Milt (Margit), Daryl (Sue), Beverly Skaalrud and sister-in-law of Jean Duhn (Robert) and family. Fondly remembered by family in Denmark. To my son Chris, I know that life has not dealt you an easy hand, I hope your art work sells and your dreams come true and don’t ever doubt that I loved you deeply. To my special daughter Wendy, who has been with me throughout my journey; through thick and thin. Thank you for being there for me at the drop of a hat. Erny, Mom wants you ready with your rolling pin in hand when she gets there. Special thanks to my CC Peeps. To Dr. Reingold and Dr. Gagnon and all the wonderful staff of Brampton Civic Hospital and Bethell Hospice who treated us like gold, thank you. Special kudos to Keith; Mom said we don’t know what we think of him yet.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Thursday morning, July 2 from 10 o’clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at 12 o’clock noon.
Followed by cremation.
If desired, memorial donations may be made in Connie’s (Karen) name to Brampton Civic Hospital, Oncology Unit, 2100 Bovaird Drive East, Brampton L6R 3J7; Bethell Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 75, Inglewood L7C 3L6. Mom said big donations; don’t cheap out!

Oh, Constitch, How do we explain how much your going to be missed. All you humor, Laughter and humor no matter where we went , also always on guard for you whit. Never again will I be able to piss you off taking the plastic top off the whiskey bottle so I would not have to wait all day to pour my drink. Your courage to fight what ever came across you path, Never did you listen to me about stopping the roll of being our Pioneer, You taught us all to fight for what comes at us. Say a Big Hi to all up there, And don’t forget Baby Allen Kenneth. My big worry now is. Who the hell is going to carry on the Name( Constitchaboobilainican).?
You rest in peace Sis. You more than deserve it.

I remember Connie with much love and affection. Memories such as sitting in the kitchen in Carseland with her and her school friends chatting and she was the most vivacious. My first wedding – I thought she was so beautiful and Ken was such a handsome groom. Gram’s funeral – she helped us all deal with the loss. Visiting in Toronto in the late 70’s and she and Ken were gracious hosts. She also passed through Melbourne once and we had a brief visit. She was the same Connie, always with a laugh and a joke but so caring and nice. Rest in peace, Connie. Condolences to Ken, Chris, Wendy and family and to my cousins and their families. Love, Dawn, Kevin, Cathy and Mike

Ken and family, my sincere condolences .
I met Connie back in 1974 as I started my career with the CIBC at Rexdale and Kipling. Connie made every day a joy to come to work. I can see from the comments made Connie never lost her sense of humor. I remember she loved Conway Twitty. May she now join him in a song!!!
Again, I am sorry for your loss.

My sincere condolences to Ken and the Family.
I met Connie and Ken in the Oncology Clinic at the Brampton Civic Hospital,, where I volunteer.
Connie would cajole me into doing something that made me blush or laugh, but I always looked at the patient listing to see when her next visit was because I knew it would be an upbeat day. She made the nurses job so much easier by her positive attitude and her and Kens generosity towards the clinic was unparalleled. Connie, we will miss you so very much.

Ken, I was just browsing on the computer and we were devastated to learn about Connies passing. Our minds were just flooded with memories of all the laughs and good times we had together. Although we have not been in contact for some time now we will miss her and her memories will live forever. Sincere condolences to you and the kids and both your families. We presume something not nice happened to Ernie and feel badly about that.
All our love, Stan and Judy
