Passed away peacefully at the Waterford Retirement Community, Barrie, on Thursday, May 28, 2009, Joyce Kathleen Middleton, Brampton, in her 89th year, beloved wife of the late Donald Middleton. Dear mother of Ian and Sharon Middleton, Nobleton; Hugh and Patricia Middleton, Ridgewood, New Jersey, U.S.A. Loving grandmother of Blair, Drew, Alexandra, Victoria and Jake. It is with great sadness that Moyra has to announce the passing of her soulmate, Dave. David’s valiant struggle with cancer ended peacefully on Monday May18, 2009 at his home. David, beloved husband of Moyra and son of the late Charles and Bulah McConaghy. Brother and best friend of Jackie (Wilf) Death. Loving Dad to Susan (Ken Doering) and cherished grandfather of Lauren and Allie. Father of Ken, Heather, and Paul.
As was Dave’s wish he was able to finish his life in the home that he built, with Moyra and Susan at his side. Dave’s journey ended peacefully with the help of family and friends who came to say goodbye and show support. Moyra and Susan are thankful for the caring hands and loving support of Joan Adams and Joan Ambrose during Dave’s last hours. Our thanks go to Southlake Cancer Centre, CCAC, The Red Cross, and Hospice. Dave was surrounded by beautiful nurses and support ladies who made him comfortable. Thank you especially to Rhonda , Liz, Linda, Carol, and Lynn. Rhonda’s gifts of care and the acceptance of the dying process will stay with us always. Dave enjoyed many years of work and companionship at Berney’s Pro Hardware in Caledon East. It was always his wish to be part of a small town, and those years fullfilled that dream.
