Lorne McIndoe King

Lorne, in his 75th year, died peacefully early Tuesday morning, April 28, 2009, just ten short days after his wife Jackie.  Beloved father of Kathy Eden, and Kelley and Geoff Potter as well as proud and adoring grandfather of Tasha and Jordyn Potter, predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Jackie.   Dear brother of Lloyd and Audrey King, Bernice  King,  Gordie and Gail King.  Lorne was known in this community for his years working at Egan’s Furniture Store as well as his involvement with the BIA and the bypass committee.  Well known for his sense of humour and mischievousness, he will be sadly missed by his family and friends.  Many thanks to the caregivers and residents of King Nursing Home who became an extension of Lorne’s family and to the many friends and family who visited him after that became his home.  The twinkle in his eye was there until the very end!  The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. Suddenly and peacefully at home on Monday, April 20, 2009, Sebastien Phillip Dalton, Queensville, aged 6 years. Precious son of Bonnie Dalton and Justin Shipley. Adored by his younger sister Bianca. Fondly remembered by his special Grandmum Gloria Dalton, his honourary grandparent Reginald Mitchell, his great grandmother (G.G.) Marion Guimond, his great Opa and Oma Fred and Elke Richter and his special uncle Thomas Dalton. Sebastien will be greatly missed by the many lives he touched – Brandes, Dalton, Elliott, Guimond and Sheedy families. Many thanks to the medical staff, school community and all of our friends for their love and support. The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. Alice Scott Wcislo (nee MacPherson)

Died on Monday, April 20, 2009, in Maple, Ontario, aged 80 years. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 29, 1928. A graduate of The Glasgow School of Art with a Highly Commended Degree in Commercial Art in 1948. Left Scotland at age 26 in 1954 to begin a new life in Canada where she successfully pursued a career in commercial and graphic art in Toronto. Married her late husband, Stanley Francis Wcislo, Q.C., on July 19, 1961, moving to the village of Kleinburg, where they lived happily for more than 40 years. Survived by her daughter Marie-Louise Wcislo, son-in-law Manfred Kalthoff, granddaughter Monique Kalthoff, sister Isabel Stevenson, brother-in-law Alan Stevenson (Crieff, Scotland). Will be missed by family and friends in Canada and Scotland. My mother was a true artist; she loved life, colour, design, nature, beauty and light. She brought happiness, joy, peace, harmony, grace, fun, pleasure, warmth, security and love to all around her. Her life and her art made the world a better place -- not through great acheivement nor noble works -- but through her lifelong gifts to others of goodness, beauty, generosity of spirit and boundless love. A memorial service will be held at Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. Jackie, in her 70th year, died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, early Saturday, April 18, 2009.  After a short battle with cancer, a sudden incident in her illness took her faster than we had imagined and hoped.  Loving wife of Lorne King for 47 years, beloved mother to Kathy Eden, and Kelley and Geoff Potter, proud and adoring grandmother of Tasha and Jordyn Potter, survived by brother James McAvoy , British Columbia.  Although the time passed too quickly, we are grateful to have had her in our lives.  Many thanks to all of the health professionals who have helped her in these past few months and especially to the friends and family who called and dropped by; all of you helped make her last few months full of love and laughter.  Jackie’s quick wit and wicked sense of humour will be missed by all and forgotten by none!  The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. Margaret Mary Lennox
